01 "An Act making a corrective amendment to the Alaska Statutes as recommended by the                                      
02 revisor of statutes by correcting the spelling of 'lorazepam' and providing an                                          
03 applicability section; and providing for an effective date."                                                            
04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
05    * Section 1. AS 11.71.170(b) is amended to read:                                                                   
06            (b)  Schedule IVA includes, unless specifically excepted or unless listed in                                 
07       another schedule, any material, compound, mixture, or preparation which contains any                              
08       quantity of the following substances, including their salts, isomers and salts of isomers                         
09       whenever the existence of these salts, isomers, and salts of isomers is possible within                           
10       the specific chemical designation:                                                                                
11                 (1)  barbital;                                                                                          
12                 (2)  chloral betaine;                                                                                   
13                 (3)  chloral hydrate;                                                                                   
14                 (4)  chlordiazepoxide;                                                                                  

01                 (5)  clonazepam;                                                                                        
02                 (6)  clorazepate;                                                                                       
03                 (7)  diazepam;                                                                                          
04                 (8)  ethclorvynol;                                                                                      
05                 (9)  ethinamate;

07                 (11)  lorazepam [LORAZEPAN];                                                                        
08                 (12)  mebutamate;                                                                                       
09                 (13)  meprobamate;                                                                                      
10                 (14)  methohexital;                                                                                     
11                 (15)  methylphenobarbital, also known as mephobarbital;                                                 
12                 (16)  oxazepam;                                                                                         
13                 (17)  paraldehyde;                                                                                      
14                 (18)  petrichloral;                                                                                     
15                 (19)  phenobarbital;                                                                                    
16                 (20)  prazepam;                                                                                         
17                 (21)  alprazolam;                                                                                       
18                 (22)  halazepam;                                                                                        
19                 (23)  temazepam;                                                                                        
20                 (24)  triazolam;                                                                                        
21                 (25)  midazolam;                                                                                        
22                 (26)  quazepam;                                                                                         
23                 (27)  flunitrazepam;                                                                                    
24                 (28)  [REPEALED                                                                                         
25                 (29)]  ketamine hydrochloride.                                                                          
26    * Sec. 2. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to                          
27 read:                                                                                                                   
28       APPLICABILITY. AS 11.71.170(b)(11), as amended by sec. 1 of this Act, corrects a                                  
29 typographical error in the spelling of "lorazepam" that has existed since its adoption in Ch. 45,                       
30 SLA 1982. AS 11.71.170(b)(11), as amended by sec. 1 of this Act, applies to crimes                                      
31 committed before, on, or after the effective date of this Act.
