01 "An Act establishing November 18 of each year as Ted Stevens Day."                                                      
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 44.12 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                  
04            Sec. 44.12.067. Ted Stevens Day. Ted Stevens day is established on                                         
05       November 18 of each year to honor Theodore F. "Ted" Stevens, whose long record of                                 
06       public service includes 40 years as a United States senator from Alaska, for his service                          
07       to the state and the nation. Ted Stevens Day may be observed by suitable observances                              
08       and exercises by civic groups and the public.
