01 Making regional Native housing authorities eligible to receive grants through the Alaska                                
02 Housing Finance Corporation from the senior citizens housing development fund.

04    * Section 1. AS 18.56.810(a) is amended to read:                                                                   
05            (a)  There is created in the corporation a senior citizens housing development                               
06       fund. Subject to direct appropriation or through proceeds of a bond issue, the                                    
07       corporation shall make grants to municipalities, [OR] public or private nonprofit                             
08       corporations designated as tax exempt under 26 U.S.C. 501(c)(3) and (4) (Internal                                 
09       Revenue Code of 1954), or regional housing authorities created in AS 18.55.996(b)                             
10       for the purpose of developing senior citizen housing. A grant from the proceeds of a                              
11       bond issue may be made only to municipalities.
