01 "An Act making regional Native housing authorities eligible to receive grants through                                   
02 the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation from the senior citizens housing development                                     
03 fund."                                                                                                                  
04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
05    * Section 1. AS 18.56.810(a) is amended to read:                                                                   
06            (a)  There is created in the corporation a senior citizens housing development                               
07       fund. Subject to direct appropriation or through proceeds of a bond issue, the                                    
08       corporation shall make grants to municipalities, [OR] public or private nonprofit                             
09       corporations designated as tax exempt under 26 U.S.C. 501(c)(3) and (4) (Internal                                 
10       Revenue Code of 1954), or regional housing authorities created in AS 18.55.996(b)                             
11       for the purpose of developing senior citizen housing. A grant from the proceeds of a                              
12       bond issue may be made only to municipalities.
