01 Suspending Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature,                            
02 concerning House Bill No. 175, relating to insurance, including treating as confidential certain                        
03 information submitted to the director of insurance by the National Association of Insurance                             
04 Commissioners; clarifying conditions for the release of insurer deposits; defining travel                               
05 insurance that may be sold under a travel insurance limited producer license; establishing                              
06 criteria for licensing of nonresident independent adjusters as resident adjusters; exempting                            
07 rewards under a wellness program from treatment as insurance discrimination or rebating;                                
08 making certain insurance required of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Association                                     
09 permissive rather than mandatory; making certain provisions relating to statements on                                   
10 applications and guaranteed renewability for individual health insurance applicable to hospital                         
11 and medical service corporations; making public certain forms and related documents filed for                           
12 approval by a hospital or medical service corporation after the filing becomes effective;                               

01 relating to deposits of self-funded multiple employer welfare arrangements; and repealing                               
02 reasons that the director of insurance may use to deny or revoke a license.

04 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                             
05      That under Rule 54, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, the provisions of                               
06 Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, regarding                             
07 changes to the title of a bill, are suspended in consideration of House Bill No. 175, relating to                       
08 insurance, including treating as confidential certain information submitted to the director of                          
09 insurance by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners; clarifying conditions for                             
10 the release of insurer deposits; defining travel insurance that may be sold under a travel                              
11 insurance limited producer license; establishing criteria for licensing of nonresident                                  
12 independent adjusters as resident adjusters; exempting rewards under a wellness program                                 
13 from treatment as insurance discrimination or rebating; making certain insurance required of                            
14 the Comprehensive Health Insurance Association permissive rather than mandatory; making
