The words of the 07 official song are as follows: 08 Alaska's Flag 09 Eight stars of gold on a field of blue - 10 Alaska's flag. May it mean to you 11 The blue of the sea, the evening sky, 12 The mountain lakes, and the flow'rs nearby; 13 The gold of the early sourdough's dreams, 14 The precious gold of the hills and streams; 15 The brilliant stars in the northern sky, 16 The "Bear" - the "Dipper" - and, shining high,

01 The great North Star with its steady light, 02 Over land and sea a beacon bright. 03 Alaska's flag - to Alaskans dear, 04 The simple flag of a last frontier. 05 06 A Native lad chose the Dipper's stars 07 For Alaska's flag that there be no bars 08 Among our culture. Let it be known 09 Through years the Native's past has grown 10 To share life's treasures, hand in hand, 11 To keep Alaska our Great-Land; 12 We love the northern midnight sky, 13 The mountains, lakes and streams nearby. 14 The great North Star with its steady light 15 Will guide all cultures, clear and bright, 16 With nature's flag to Alaskans dear, 17 The simple flag of the last frontier.
