00 HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 9 01 Designating the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum located at 4721 Aircraft Drive in 02 Anchorage as the official headquarters for the State of Alaska's Centennial of Flight 03 Celebration. 04 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 05 WHEREAS the State of Alaska will celebrate 100 years of powered flight 06 on July 3, 2013; and 07 WHEREAS the pioneering and development of flight operations in Alaska is 08 directly tied to the development and growth of the overall infrastructure within 09 the State of Alaska; and 10 WHEREAS aviation within the State of Alaska has served to interconnect 11 the diverse topographies and peoples of the state and has fostered a truly 12 pioneering Alaska spirit; 13 BE IT RESOLVED by the Alaska State Legislature that the Alaska 14 Aviation Heritage Museum be designated the official headquarters for the State 15 of Alaska's Centennial of Flight Celebration and preparations in the year 2013.
01 COPIES of this resolution shall be sent to the Honorable Barack Obama, President of 02 the United States; the Honorable Joseph R. Biden, Jr., Vice-President of the United States and 03 President of the U.S. Senate; and the Honorable Lisa Murkowski and the Honorable Mark 04 Begich, U.S. Senators, and the Honorable Don Young, U.S. Representative, members of the 05 Alaska delegation in Congress.
