03    * Section 1. AS 44.12 is amended by adding a new section to article 2 to read:                                     
04            Sec. 44.12.115. Motorcycle and Motor Scooter Awareness Month. The                                          
05       month of May each year is established as Motorcycle and Motor Scooter Awareness                                   
06       Month. Motorcycle and Motor Scooter Awareness Month may be observed by                                            
07       schools, community groups, and other public and private agencies and individuals                                  
08       with appropriate activities that increase the public's awareness of the presence of                               
09       motorcycles and motor scooters on roads and highways in the state and that remind                                 
10       motor vehicle drivers to be aware of the presence of motorcycles and motor scooters                               
11       when driving.
