01 "An Act establishing the month of May as Motorcycle Awareness Month."                                                   
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 44.12 is amended by adding a new section to article 2 to read:                                     
04            Sec. 44.12.115. Motorcycle Awareness Month. The month of May each year                                     
05       is established as Motorcycle Awareness Month. Motorcycle Awareness Month may be                                   
06       observed by schools, community groups, and other public and private agencies and                                  
07       individuals with appropriate activities that increase the public's awareness of the                               
08       presence of motorcycles on roads and highways in the state and that remind motor                                  
09       vehicle drivers to be aware of the presence of motorcycles when driving.
