00 HOUSE BILL NO. 67 01 "An Act changing certain limitations set out in the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act 02 applicable to employment relationships between state employees who are related to each 03 other as immediate family members." 04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 05 * Section 1. AS 39.52.910(d) is repealed and reenacted to read: 06 (d) Nothing in this chapter 07 (1) supersedes AS 39.90.020; or 08 (2) precludes a person from being in an employment relationship with 09 a member of the person's immediate family if the person 10 (A) does not supervise the immediate family member; or 11 (B) supervises the immediate family member but exercise of 12 the supervision is only routine; under this subparagraph, supervision is routine 13 only if, as to a decision that requires the person's exercise of independent 14 judgment, the person may not act or recommend the family member's
01 (i) appointment to employment, including hiring, 02 transferring, laying off, and recalling; 03 (ii) discipline, including suspension, discharge, 04 demotion, and issuance of written warnings; or 05 (iii) grievance adjudication, including responding to a 06 first level grievance under a collective bargaining agreement.
