01 "An Act prohibiting use of agency shop fees for political contributions or expenditures."                               
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 23.40.220 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                           
04            (b)  A labor organization or employee association may not use an agency shop                                 
05       fee collected from a public employee under (a) of this section to make a contribution                             
06       or expenditure, as those terms are defined in AS 15.13.400, unless affirmatively                                  
07       authorized by the public employee.
