ALASKA ENERGY AUTHORITY. DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE. The sum necessary, estimated to be 23 $744,100,000, is appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Revenue for the 24 Alaska resource rebate program and related administrative costs for the fiscal year ending 25 June 30, 2009. 26 * Sec. 3. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES. The sum necessary, 27 estimated to be $10,700,000, is appropriated from the general fund to the Department of 28 Health and Social Services, division of public assistance, to implement provisions of the 29 Alaska resource rebate program relating to continued eligibility for certain assistance 30 programs and veterans' benefits and to pay for related administrative costs for the fiscal year 31 ending June 30, 2009.

01 * Sec. 4. SHARED TAXES. Section 26, ch. 27, SLA 2008, is amended by adding a new 02 subsection to read: 03 (d) There is appropriated to the Department of Revenue from the general fund 04 for payment in fiscal year 2009 the amount necessary to pay to municipalities that 05 amount of aviation fuel tax proceeds to which they would have been entitled under 06 AS 43.40.010(e) for aviation fuel taxes that would have been due under AS 43.40.010 07 in fiscal year 2009, but were not collected during a suspension of motor fuel taxes 08 imposed under AS 43.40.010. 09 * Sec. 5. RETROACTIVITY. Sections 1(a) and 1(b) of this Act are retroactive to June 30, 10 2008. 11 * Sec. 6. CONTINGENCIES. (a) The appropriations made in secs. 2 and 3 of this Act are 12 contingent on the passage by the Twenty-Fifth Alaska State Legislature and enactment into 13 law of a bill that establishes the Alaska resource rebate program in the Department of 14 Revenue. 15 (b) The appropriation made in sec. 4 of this Act is contingent on the passage by the 16 Twenty-Fifth Alaska State Legislature and enactment into law of a bill that suspends the 17 motor fuel tax imposed under AS 43.40.010. 18 * Sec. 7. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
