00 HOUSE BILL NO. 399 01 "An Act amending Rule 1(a)(1), District Court Rules of Civil Procedure relating to 02 discovery in certain civil cases." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section 05 to read: 06 DIRECT COURT RULE AMENDMENT. Rule 1(a)(1), Alaska District Court 07 Rules of Civil Procedure, is amended to read: 08 (1) The procedure in civil actions and proceedings before district 09 judges and magistrates shall be governed by the rules governing the procedure in the 10 superior court to the extent that such rules are applicable. [HOWEVER, IN A CIVIL 11 ACTION FOR PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, UNLESS 12 OTHERWISE AGREED BY ALL PARTIES OR PERMITTED BY ORDER OF THE 13 COURT IN EXCEPTIONAL CASES AND FOR GOOD CAUSE SHOWN, 14 DISCOVERY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE DISCLOSURES REQUIRED
