01 "An Act relating to an aggravating factor at sentencing for crimes directed at a victim                                 
02 because of the victim's homelessness."                                                                                  
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 12.55.155(c)(22) is amended to read:                                                               
05                 (22)  the defendant knowingly directed the conduct constituting the                                     
06       offense at a victim because of that person's race, sex, color, creed, physical or mental                          
07       disability, ancestry, homelessness, or national origin;                                                       
08    * Sec. 2. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to                          
09 read:                                                                                                                   
10       APPLICABILITY. This Act applies to offenses committed on or after the effective                                   
11 date of this Act.
