01 "An Act relating to interfering with or obstructing a peace officer's performance of                                    
02 official duties."                                                                                                       
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 11.56 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                  
05            Sec. 11.56.703. Interfering with or obstructing a peace officer's                                          
06       performance of official duties. (a) A person commits the crime of interfering with or                           
07       obstructing a peace officer's performance of official duties if the person, under                                 
08       circumstances not proscribed under AS 11.56.700, 11.56.300 - 11.56.340, or                                        
09       AS 28.35.182, knowingly                                                                                           
10                 (1)  obstructs, impedes, or interferes with a peace officer in the lawful                               
11       performance of the officer's duties; or                                                                           
12                 (2)  fails to stop when requested to do so by a peace officer.                                          
13            (b)  Interfering with or obstructing a peace officer's performance of official                               
14       duties is a class B misdemeanor.
