01 "An Act making a special appropriation to the education loan repayment fund; and                                        
02 providing for an effective date."                                                                                       
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. The sum of $100,000,000 is appropriated to the education loan repayment fund                          
05 (AS 14.43.432) for the purpose of repaying education loans to eligible individuals.                                     
06    * Sec. 2. The appropriation made under sec. 1 of this Act is for the purpose of capitalizing a                     
07 fund and does not lapse under AS 37.25.010.                                                                             
08    * Sec. 3. This Act takes effect only if an Act that establishes an education loan repayment                        
09 fund is passed by the Twenty-Fifth Alaska State Legislature and enacted into law.                                       
10    * Sec. 4. If this Act takes effect, it takes effect July 1, 2007.
