00 HOUSE BILL NO. 5 01 "An Act relating to reporting campaign contributions and expenditures to the Alaska 02 Public Offices Commission; and providing for an effective date." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. AS 15.13.040(a) is amended to read: 05 (a) Except as provided in [(g) AND] (l) of this section, each candidate shall 06 make a full report, upon a form prescribed by the commission, 07 (1) listing 08 (A) the date and amount of all expenditures made by the 09 candidate; 10 (B) the total amount of all contributions, including all funds 11 contributed by the candidate; 12 (C) the name, address, date, and amount contributed by each 13 contributor; and 14 (D) for contributions in excess of $250 in the aggregate during
01 a calendar year, the principal occupation and employer of the contributor; and 02 (2) filed in accordance with AS 15.13.110 and certified correct by the 03 candidate or campaign treasurer. 04 * Sec. 2. AS 24.60.080(e) is amended to read: 05 (e) A political contribution is not a gift under this section if it is reported under 06 AS 15.13.040 [OR IS EXEMPT FROM THE REPORTING REQUIREMENT 07 UNDER AS 15.13.040(g)]. The use of a bulk mailing permit owned by a legislator's 08 campaign committee or used in a legislator's election campaign is not a gift to that 09 legislator under this section. 10 * Sec. 3. AS 15.13.040(g) is repealed. 11 * Sec. 4. This Act takes effect July 1, 2007.
