01 "An Act providing that the University of Alaska may evict a tenant from student                                         
02 housing that is exempt from the provisions of the Uniform Residential Landlord and                                      
03 Tenant Act without resorting to court proceedings under AS 09.45.060 - 09.45.160."                                      
04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
05    * Section 1.  AS 09.45.070 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                          
06            (c)  Nothing in AS 09.45.060 - 09.45.160 shall be interpreted to require the                                 
07       University of Alaska to institute a court action to evict a tenant from student housing                           
08       that is exempted by AS 34.03.330(b)(1) from the provisions of AS 34.03.
