01 Suspending Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State                                         
02 Legislature, concerning Senate Bill No. 289, relating to the payment of insurer                                         
03 examination expenses, to the regulation of managed care insurance plans, to actuarial                                   
04 opinions and supporting documentation for an insurer, to insurance firms, managing                                      
05 general agents, and third-party administrators, to eligibility of surplus lines insurers, to                            
06 suitability of life and health insurance policies and annuity contracts, to unfair                                      
07 discrimination under a health insurance policy, to prompt payment of health care                                        
08 insurance claims, to required notice by an insurer, to individual deferred annuities, to                                
09 direct payment to providers under a health insurance policy, to mental health benefits                                  
10 under a health care insurance plan, to the definitions of "title insurance limited                                      
11 producer" and of other terms used in the title regulating the practice of the business of                               
12 insurance, and to small employer health insurance; repealing the Small Employer                                         
13 Health Reinsurance Association; and making conforming amendments.                                                       

01 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                               
02       That under Rule 54, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, the provisions of                              
03 Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, regarding                             
04 changes to the title of a bill, are suspended in consideration of Senate Bill No. 289, relating to                      
05 the payment of insurer examination expenses, to the regulation of managed care insurance                                
06 plans, to actuarial opinions and supporting documentation for an insurer, to insurance firms,                           
07 managing general agents, and third-party administrators, to eligibility of surplus lines                                
08 insurers, to suitability of life and health insurance policies and annuity contracts, to unfair                         
09 discrimination under a health insurance policy, to prompt payment of health care insurance                              
10 claims, to required notice by an insurer, to individual deferred annuities, to direct payment to                        
11 providers under a health insurance policy, to mental health benefits under a health care                                
12 insurance plan, to the definitions of "title insurance limited producer" and of other terms used                        
13 in the title regulating the practice of the business of insurance, and to a small employer health                       
14 insurance; repealing the Small Employer Health Reinsurance Association; and making                                      
15 conforming amendments.
