00 HOUSE BILL NO. 495 01 "An Act relating to special fire fighter, nurse, and senior citizen license plates." 02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 03 * Section 1. AS 28.10.181 is amended by adding new subsections to read: 04 (x) Special request fire fighter plates. On application by the owner of a motor 05 vehicle, the department may issue registration plates representing fire fighters. The 06 commissioner shall determine the design and color of plates representing fire fighters. 07 The department may disapprove the issuance of registration plates under this 08 subsection when the requested plates are a duplication of an existing registration. 09 (y) Special request nursing plates. On application by the owner of a motor 10 vehicle, the department may issue registration plates representing nurses. The 11 commissioner shall determine the design and color of plates representing nurses. The 12 department may disapprove the issuance of registration plates under this subsection 13 when the requested plates are a duplication of an existing registration. 14 (z) Special request senior citizen plates. On application by the owner of a 15 motor vehicle, the department may issue registration plates representing senior
01 citizens. The commissioner shall determine the design and color of plates representing 02 senior citizens. The department may disapprove the issuance of registration plates 03 under this subsection when the requested plates are a duplication of an existing 04 registration.
