01 "An Act adding exemptions from the licensing requirements for certain real estate                                       
02 activity."                                                                                                              
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 08.88.900(a) is amended by adding new paragraphs to read:                                          
05                 (22)  the management of property that is owned or operated by a                                         
06       nonprofit corporation;                                                                                            
07                 (23)  the management of property that is senior housing; in this                                        
08       paragraph, "senior housing" means a facility that is used primarily to provide dwelling                           
09       accommodations for residents of the state who are 65 years of age or older, including                             
10       conventional housing, housing for frail elderly, group homes, congregate housing,                                 
11       residential horizontal property regimes organized under AS 34.07, residential                                     
12       cooperatives organized under AS 10.15 or AS 34.08, residential condominiums                                       
13       organized under AS 34.08, and other housing that meets special needs of the elderly;                              
14       "senior housing" includes the land, buildings, improvements, and other nonhousing                                 

01       facilities that are incidental or appurtenant to the housing described in this paragraph.
