01 "An Act establishing the fees that a municipality may charge for appealing residential                                  
02 real property tax assessments to the municipality's board of equalization."                                             
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 29.45.190 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                           
05            (f)  Unless the municipality has a population under 30,000, a municipality may                               
06       not charge more than the following fees for appealing an assessment of residential real                           
07       property to the board of equalization under this section:                                                         
08                 (1)  $25 if the property is assessed at an amount that is less than                                     
09       $100,000;                                                                                                         
10                 (2)  $50 if the property is assessed at an amount that is $100,000 or                                   
11       more, but less than $500,000;                                                                                     
12                 (3)  $100 if the property is assessed at an amount that is $500,000 or                                  
13       more, but less than $2,000,000;                                                                                   
14                 (4)  $200 if the property is assessed at an amount that is $2,000,000 or
