01 "An Act making a special appropriation for a grant to Chugach Electric Association to                                   
02 construct a wind farm on Fire Island and transmission lines to connect the wind farm to                                 
03 existing electrical infrastructure in Anchorage; and providing for an effective date."                                  
04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
05    * Section 1.  The sum of $20,000,000 is appropriated from the Railbelt energy fund                                 
06 (AS 37.05.520) to the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development                                       
07 for payment as a grant under AS 37.05.316 to the Chugach Electric Association for                                       
08 construction of a wind farm on Fire Island and transmission lines to connect it to existing                             
09 electrical infrastructure in Anchorage.                                                                                 
10    * Sec. 2.  The appropriation made by this Act is for a capital project and lapses under                            
11 AS 37.25.020.                                                                                                           
12    * Sec. 3.  This Act takes effect July 1, 2005.
