01 "An Act relating to safety devices and sharp instruments for the prevention of the                                      
02 spread of bloodborne pathogens in health care employees; and providing for an effective                                 
03 date."                                                                                                                  
04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
05    * Section 1.  AS 18.60.890(3) is amended to read:                                                                  
06                 (3)  "employer"                                                                                         
07                      [(A)]  means an employer having an employee with                                                   
08            occupational exposure to human blood or other material potentially containing                                
09            bloodborne pathogens [; BUT                                                                                  
10                      (B)  DOES NOT INCLUDE AN EMPLOYER WHO HAS                                                          
11            FEWER THAN 25 FULL-TIME-EQUIVALENT EMPLOYEES];                                                               
12    * Sec. 2.   AS 18.60.880(h) is repealed.                                                                           
13    * Sec. 3.  This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
