01 "An Act increasing the base student allocation for state financing of public schools; and                               
02 providing for an effective date."                                                                                       
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 14.17.470 is amended to read:                                                                     
05            Sec. 14.17.470.  Base student allocation.  The base student allocation is as                           
06       follows:                                                                                                      
07                 (1)  for July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006, $4,880;                                                
08                 (2)  on and after July 1, 2006, $5,190 [ $4,576].                                                   
09    * Sec. 2.  This Act takes effect July 1, 2005.
