01 "An Act extending the termination date of the special education service agency; and                                     
02 providing for an effective date."                                                                                       
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 44.66.010(a)(14) is amended to read:                                                              
05                 (14)  special education service agency [SPECIAL EDUCATION                                           
06       SERVICE AGENCY] (AS 14.30.600) - June 30, 2013 [2004];                                                        
07    * Sec. 2.  The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to                         
08 read:                                                                                                                   
09       NONAPPLICABILITY OF AS 44.66.010(c).  The provisions of AS 44.66.010(c),                                          
10 authorizing continuance or reestablishment of a commission for not more than four years, do                             
11 not apply to the amendment of AS 44.66.010(a)(14) made by sec. 1 of this Act.                                           
12    * Sec. 3.  This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
