01 "An Act relating to funding for transportation enhancement projects."                                                   
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 19.15 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                 
04            Sec. 19.15.025.  Federal-aid highway projects.  (a)  The department may not                                
05       expend more than 10 percent of federal-aid highway funds available for expenditure                                
06       over the life of a statewide transportation improvement program for transportation                                
07       enhancement projects.                                                                                             
08            (b)  Not more than 10 percent of the funds provided by a municipality for                                    
09       participation in federal-aid highway projects may be expended for transportation                                  
10       enhancements over the life of a transportation improvement program.
