01 "An Act relating to tracking of oxycodone prescriptions."                                                               
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 17.30 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                 
04            Sec. 17.30.075. Tracking of oxycodone.  A person registered under federal                                  
05       law to prescribe, dispense, administer, or distribute oxycodone shall report each                                 
06       prescription, dispensation, administration, or distribution to the Department of Public                           
07       Safety in the manner and frequency required by the department.  The department may                                
08       regularly examine these reports to ensure that illicit diversion or abuse of oxycodone is                         
09       not occurring.
