00                 SPONSOR SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 296                                                              
01 "An Act making an appropriation to the Alaska Natural Gas Development Authority;                                        
02 and providing for an effective date."                                                                                   
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  ALASKA NATURAL GAS DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY.  The sum of                                                
05 $2,150,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Revenue, Alaska                                   
06 Natural Gas Development Authority, for cost, risk, and benefit analysis and for design of a                             
07 pipeline and related facilities to bring natural gas from the North Slope to market and for                             
08 marketing of North Slope natural gas.                                                                                   
09    * Sec. 2.  The appropriation made by this Act lapses June 30, 2009.                                                
10    * Sec. 3.  This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
