01 "An Act relating to waiver of permanent fund dividend application requirements in a                                     
02 time of national military emergency; and providing for an effective date."                                              
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 43.23.005(f) is amended to read:                                                                  
05            (f)  In a time of national military emergency, the commissioner may waive the                                
06       requirements [REQUIREMENT] of (a)(4) of this section and AS 43.23.011 for an                              
07       individual absent from the state under military orders while serving in the armed                                 
08       forces of the United States, or for the spouse and dependents of that individual.                                 
09    * Sec. 2.  This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
