01 "An Act relating to use of a uniform prescription drug information card and forms,                                      
02 standards, and procedures in processing health insurance claims; and providing for an                                   
03 effective date."                                                                                                        
04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
05    * Section 1.  AS 21.06.085(a) is amended to read:                                                                  
06            Sec. 21.06.085.  Uniform data and procedures for health claims.  (a) The                                   
07       director shall adopt by regulation uniform claims forms, uniform prescription drug                            
08       information cards, uniform standards, and uniform procedures for the processing of                            
09       data relating to billing for and payment of health care services provided to state                                
10       residents.  A health care insurer shall use the uniform claims forms and comply with                              
11       the uniform standards and procedures established under this section.                                              
12    * Sec. 2.  AS 21.06.085(b)(2) is amended to read:                                                                  
13                 (2)  "health care services" has the meaning given in AS 21.86.900 and                               
14       includes prescription drugs.
