01 Suspending Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State                                         
02 Legislature, concerning House Bill No. 234, relating to the tobacco use education and                                   
03 cessation fund and to smoking education and cessation programs; relating to funding                                     
04 the tobacco use education and cessation fund; relating to financing of construction and                                 
05 major maintenance of public school facilities, facilities for the University of Alaska, and                             
06 facilities for ports and harbors; authorizing the commissioner of revenue to sell the right                             
07 to receive a portion of the anticipated revenue from a tobacco litigation settlement to the                             
08 Northern Tobacco Securitization Corporation; relating to the deposit of certain                                         
09 anticipated revenue from a tobacco litigation settlement; and authorizing the issuance of                               
10 bonds by the Northern Tobacco Securitization Corporation with proceeds to finance                                       
11 public school construction and major maintenance, facilities for the University of                                      
12 Alaska, and facilities for ports and harbors.                                                                           
13 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                               

01       That under Rule 54, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, the provisions of                              
02 Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, regarding                             
03 changes to the title of a bill, are suspended in consideration of House Bill No. 234, relating to                       
04 the tobacco use education and cessation fund and to smoking education and cessation                                     
05 programs; relating to funding the tobacco use education and cessation fund; relating to                                 
06 financing of construction and major maintenance of public school facilities, facilities for the                         
07 University of Alaska, and facilities for ports and harbors; authorizing the commissioner of                             
08 revenue to sell the right to receive a portion of the anticipated revenue from a tobacco                                
09 litigation settlement to the Northern Tobacco Securitization Corporation; relating to the                               
10 deposit of certain anticipated revenue from a tobacco litigation settlement; and authorizing the                        
11 issuance of bonds by the Northern Tobacco Securitization Corporation with proceeds to                                   
12 finance public school construction and major maintenance, facilities for the University of                              
13 Alaska, and facilities for ports and harbors.
