00 CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 366(RES) 01 "An Act relating to the fee for the Chitina dip net fishing permit and to Chitina fishery 02 access; and providing for an effective date." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. AS 16.05.340(a)(22) is amended to read: 05 (22) Chitina dip net fishing permit .............................................0 [25] 06 [A PERSON WHO HAS RECEIVED A PERMANENT IDENTIFICATION CARD 07 ISSUED UNDER AS 16.05.400(b) MAY OBTAIN A CHITINA DIP NET FISHING 08 PERMIT WITHOUT CHARGE]. The members of the family of a person who has 09 obtained a Chitina dip net fishing permit are not required to have a Chitina dip net 10 fishing permit while they are engaged in dip net fishing at Chitina if they are engaged 11 in fishing in the presence of the person and the person has the Chitina dip net fishing 12 permit in the person's physical possession. In this paragraph, "family" means persons 13 who are related by blood, marriage, or adoption and who live in the same household 14 on a permanent basis. The legislature may appropriate the receipts from the sale of the
01 permit to the fish and game fund. 02 * Sec. 2. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to 03 read: 04 CHITINA FISHERY ACCESS. The Department of Fish and Game shall report to the 05 legislature on the final outcome of the Chitina fishery access negotiations by February 1, 06 2003. 07 * Sec. 3. This Act takes effect January 1, 2003.
