01 "An Act relating to the scope of practice authorized under a license to practice                                        
02 hairdressing."                                                                                                          
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 08.13.160(f) is amended to read:                                                                  
05            (f)  A person licensed under this chapter to practice hairdressing is considered                             
06       to be licensed to practice manicuring and limited esthetics under the same license.                           
07    * Sec. 2.  AS 08.13.220 is amended by adding a new paragraph to read:                                              
08                 (13)  "limited esthetics" means to perform for a fee for cosmetic                                       
09       purposes                                                                                                          
10                      (A)  temporary removal of superfluous hair on the face or neck,                                    
11            including eyebrow arching by use of wax; or                                                                  
12                      (B)  application of makeup or false eyelashes.
