01 "An Act relating to the constitutional right to privacy."                                                               
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 18.80 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                 
04            Sec. 18.80.205.  Application of constitutional right to privacy to benefits                                
05       for unmarried partners.  (a)  The right of the people to privacy set out in art. I, sec.                        
06       22, Constitution of the State of Alaska, does not extend to a right to receive state                              
07       benefits based on a person's domestic partnership with another person that is not a                               
08       legal marriage to the other person.                                                                               
09            (b)  This section is enacted as part of the legislature's obligation to implement                            
10       the constitutional right to privacy under art. I, sec. 22, Constitution of the State of                           
11       Alaska.                                                                                                           
12    * Sec. 2.  AS 47.05 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                    
13            Sec. 47.05.110.  Application of constitutional right to privacy to state                                   
14       funding for abortions.  (a)  The right of the people to privacy set out in art. I, sec. 22,                     
15       Constitution of the State of Alaska, does not extend to a right to receive state funding                          

01       for abortion.                                                                                                     
02            (b)  This section is enacted as part of the legislature's obligation to implement                            
03       the constitutional right to privacy under art. I, sec. 22, Constitution of the State of                           
04       Alaska.
