00 HOUSE BILL NO. 457 01 "An Act extending the time for the Department of Administration to submit the terms of 02 a tentative collective bargaining agreement following a gubernatorial election year." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. AS 23.40.215(b) is amended to read: 05 (b) The Department of Administration shall submit the monetary terms of an 06 agreement to the legislature within 10 legislative days after the agreement of the 07 parties, if the legislature is in session, or within 10 legislative days after the convening 08 of the next regular session. The complete monetary and nonmonetary terms of a 09 tentative agreement shall be submitted to the legislature no later than the 60th day of 10 the legislative session, or no later than the 90th day of the legislative session 11 immediately following a gubernatorial election, to receive legislative consideration 12 during that calendar year. However, if the department has submitted a tentative 13 agreement in a timely manner and the parties to the agreement decide to renegotiate 14 the terms, the renegotiated agreement shall be considered to have been submitted in a
01 timely manner. In this subsection, "tentative agreement" means an agreement that has 02 been reached by the negotiators for the employer and the bargaining unit but that may 03 not yet have been ratified by the members of the bargaining unit.
