00 SENATE CS FOR CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 421(RES) 01 "An Act relating to requiring the Department of Natural Resources to develop and 02 maintain a standardized procedure for processing applications and issuing permits, 03 authorizations, and certifications under the Alaska Water Use Act and to make a record 04 of those items and amendments and orders affecting them available on the Internet." 05 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 06 * Section 1. AS 46.15.020(b)(2) is amended to read: 07 (2) develop and maintain a standardized procedure for processing 08 applications and the issuance of authorizations, permits, and certifications under 09 this chapter; shall keep a public record of all applications for permits and certificates 10 and other documents filed in the commissioner's office; [AND] shall record all permits 11 and certificates and amendments and orders affecting them and shall index them in 12 accordance with the source of the water and the name of the applicant or appropriator; 13 shall ensure that all permits for water withdrawal are invalid unless the applicant
01 complies with applicable requirements of AS 16.05.870; and shall make the 02 record of applications, including temporary water use applications under 03 AS 46.15.155 that have been accepted as complete, authorizations, permits, 04 certificates, amendments, and orders affecting them available to the public on the 05 Internet;
