01 "An Act relating to the Chitina dip net fishing permit; and providing for an                                            
02 effective date."                                                                                                        
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                               
04    * Section 1.  AS 16.05.340(a)(22) is amended to read:                                                              
05   (22)  Chitina [PERSONAL USE SALMON] dip net fishing                                                                  
06 permit  . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 25  [10]                                   
07  A person who has received a permanent identification card issued under                                               
08 AS 16.05.400(b) may obtain a Chitina dip net fishing permit without charge.                                             
09 The members of the family of a person who has obtained a Chitina dip net fishing                                       
10 permit are not required to have a Chitina dip net fishing permit while they are                                         
11 engaged in dip net fishing at Chitina if they are engaged in fishing in the presence                                    
12 of the person and the person has the Chitina dip net fishing permit in the                                              
13 person's physical possession.  In this paragraph, "family" means persons who are                                        
14 related by blood, marriage, or adoption and who live in the same household on                                           

01 a permanent basis.  The legislature may appropriate the receipts from the sale of                                       
02 the permit to the fish and game fund.                                                                                  
03    * Sec. 2.  This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
