01 "An Act relating to an optional exemption from municipal property taxes for                                             
02 recreational facilities."                                                                                               
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                               
04    * Section 1.  AS 29.45.050 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                          
05  (p)  A municipality may by ordinance classify as to type recreational facilities                                      
06 and partially or totally exempt all or some types of those facilities from taxation.  The                               
07 ordinance may provide for different levels of exemption for different classifications of                                
08 recreational facilities.
