00HOUSE BILL NO. 188 01 "An Act imposing a 30-day residency requirement before a person is eligible to 02 be included on an application for assistance under the Alaska temporary assistance 03 program, with an exception for newborn children." 04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 05 * Section 1. AS 47.27.015 is amended by adding a new subsection to read: 06  (h) A person, other than a dependent child who is less than 30 days old, is not 07 eligible to be included on an application for assistance under this chapter unless the 08 person has been a resident of this state for at least 30 calendar days before the date of 09 application. A dependent child who is less than 30 days old is eligible to be included 10 on an application for assistance under this chapter only if the caretaker of the child has 11 been a resident of this state for at least 30 calendar days before the date of application. 12 * Sec. 2. APPLICABILITY. AS 47.27.015(h), added by sec. 1 of this Act, applies to 13 applications under AS 47.27 that are filed on or after the effective date of this Act.
