01 "An Act relating to rehabilitation of injured workers."                                                                 
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                               
03    * Section 1.  AS 23.30.041 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                          
04  (q)  When a new edition of the United States Department of Labor's "Selected                                          
05 Characteristics of Occupations Defined in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles"                                        
06 referred to in (e) of this section is published, the board shall, not later than 90 days                                
07 after the last day of the month in which the new edition is published, hold an open                                     
08 meeting under AS 44.62.310 to select the date on which the new edition will be                                          
09 implemented to make all eligibility determinations required under (e) of this section.                                  
10 The date selected by the board for implementing the new edition may not be later than                                   
11 90 days after the last day of the month in which the new edition is published.  After                                   
12 the meeting, the board shall issue a public notice announcing the date selected.  The                                   
13 requirements of AS 44.62.010 - 44.62.300 do not apply to the selection or                                               
14 announcement of the date under this subsection.
