01 "An Act relating to polygraph or other lie-detecting testing for certain correctional                                   
02 officers."                                                                                                              
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                               
04    * Section 1.  AS 23.10.037(b) is amended to read:                                                                  
05  (b)  The provisions of (a) of this section do not apply to the state or a political                                   
06 subdivision of the state when dealing with                                                                              
07     (1)   police officers in its employ or with persons applying to be                                               
08 employed  as police officers ; in this paragraph  [.  IN THIS SUBSECTION], "police                                    
09 officers" includes officers and employees of the Department of Transportation and                                       
10 Public Facilities who are stationed at an international airport and have been designated                                
11 to have the general police powers authorized under AS 02.15.230(a) ;                                                   
12   (2)  correctional officers in its employ or with persons applying to                                                 
13 be employed as correctional officers .
