01 "An Act relating to motor vehicle license plates for ranchers, farmers, and                                             
02 dairymen."                                                                                                              
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                               
04    * Section 1.  AS 28.10.181(h) is amended to read:                                                                  
05  (h)  Vehicles owned by ranchers, farmers, and dairymen.  A vehicle not                                                
06 exceeding an unladen total gross weight of 16,000 pounds, owned by a person deriving                                    
07 the person's primary source of  income  [LIVELIHOOD] from the operation of a ranch,                                   
08 farm, or dairy where the person resides full-time, and  that  [WHICH VEHICLE] is                                      
09 used exclusively to transport the person's own ranch, farm, or dairy products to and                                    
10 from the market or to transport supplies, commodities, or equipment to be used on the                                   
11 person's ranch, farm, or dairy, may be registered under this subsection and may be                                      
12 issued registration plates of a distinctive design or system of numbering.   In this                                   
13 subsection, "person" has the meaning given in AS 01.10.060.
