01 "An Act relating to the participating share for school construction grants; and                                         
02 providing for an effective date."                                                                                       
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 14.11.008(d) is repealed and reenacted to read:                                                     
05  (d)  The commissioner shall waive the district's participating share required                                         
06 under this section if, in the calendar year in which the grant was received,                                            
07   (1)  the district has a full value per ADM of $200,000 or less;                                                      
08   (2)  the district has an unemployment rate of 10 percent or more; and                                                
09   (3)  the average per capita income of residents in the district is 85                                                
10 percent or less of the state average per capita income.                                                                 
11    * Sec. 2.   This Act takes effect July 1, 1997.
