01 "An Act relating to motor vehicle registration procedures."                                                             
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 28.10.108(d) is amended to read:                                                                    
04  (d)  A registered vehicle retains the same annual expiration date regardless of                                       
05 the ownership of the vehicle, except that a formerly registered vehicle whose                                          
06 registration has lapsed shall be registered as an initial registration as provided                                      
07 under this section if the ownership of the vehicle is transferred to another person                                     
08 and the transferor retains no interest in the vehicle.
