01 "An Act allowing a local bidder preference in certain contracts for school                                              
02 construction."                                                                                                          
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 14.11.017 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                            
05  (d)  The department shall include in the grant agreement a provision that allows                                      
06 a municipality that is a school district or a regional educational attendance area to                                   
07 include an Alaska bidder preference as provided under AS 36.30.170(b) when                                              
08 determining the award of a contract.
