00SENATE BILL NO. 126 01 "An Act making special appropriations for design and construction of power 02 transmission interties between Anchorage and the Kenai Peninsula, between Healy 03 and Fairbanks, and between the Swan Lake and Tyee Lake hydroelectric projects; 04 and providing for an effective date." 05 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 06 * Section 1. The sum of $80,850,000 is appropriated from the general fund, Railbelt 07 intertie reserve (sec. 159, ch. 208, SLA 1990), to the Alaska Energy Authority for design and 08 construction of a 138 kilovolt power transmission intertie between Anchorage and the Kenai 09 Peninsula and for design and construction of a 138 kilovolt power transmission intertie 10 between Healy and Fairbanks. 11 * Sec. 2. The sum of $9,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the Alaska 12 Energy Authority for the design and construction of a 138 kilovolt power transmission intertie 13 between the Swan Lake and the Tyee Lake hydroelectric projects. 14 * Sec. 3. The appropriations made by this Act are for capital projects and lapse under

This Act takes effect on the effective date of an Act enacted by the Eighteenth 03 Alaska State Legislature that authorizes the Alaska Energy Authority to design and construct 04 power transmission interties between Anchorage and the Kenai Peninsula, between Healy and 05 Fairbanks, and between the Swan Lake and the Tyee Lake hydroelectric projects.
