01 "An Act extending the state training and employment program; and providing for                                          
02 an effective date."                                                                                                     
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  Section 4(a), ch. 95, SLA 1989, as amended by sec. 2, ch. 17, SLA 1991, is                             
05 amended to read:                                                                                                        
06  (a) In the manner provided in AS 23.20, the department shall collect from each                                        
07 employee an amount equal to one-tenth of one percent of the wages, as set out in                                        
08 AS 23.20.175, on which the employee is required to make contributions under                                             
09 AS 23.20.290(d).  This subsection applies to amounts due and collected from July 1,                                     
10 1989, through June 30, 1995 [1993], on wages for employment performed from July 1,                                    
11 1989, through June 30, 1995 [1993].  The department shall remit to the Department                                     
12 of Revenue, in accordance with AS 37.10.050, money collected under this subsection.                                     
13    * Sec. 2.  Section 15, ch. 95, SLA 1989, as amended by sec. 3, ch. 17, SLA 1991,                                     
14 is amended to read:                                                                                                     

01  Sec. 15.  Section 13 of this Act takes effect July 1, 1995 [1993].                                                  
02    * Sec. 3.  This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
