01 "An Act relating to real property transfers."                                                                           
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 09.65 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                   
04  Sec. 09.65.170.  INNOCENT MISREPRESENTATIONS BY AGENTS IN                                                             
05 REAL PROPERTY TRANSACTIONS.  The agent of a transferor or transferee is not                                             
06 liable for an innocent misrepresentation in information provided to the transferor or                                   
07 transferee in the transfer of an interest in real property if the agent does not have                                   
08 personal knowledge of the error, inaccuracy, or omission that is the basis for the                                      
09 misrepresentation.                                                                                                      
10    * Sec. 2.  This Act does not apply to causes of action that accrue before the effective date                         
11 of this Act.
