01 "An Act relating to the longevity bonus program; and providing for an effective                                         
02 date."                                                                                                                  
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 47.45.010(a) is amended to read:                                                                    
05  (a)  A person who is 65 years of age or over, who reached that age before                                            
06 January 1, 1994, and who resides in the state for at least one year immediately                                        
07 preceding application for a longevity bonus under this chapter, may apply to the                                        
08 commissioner of administration for qualification to receive a monthly bonus of $225                                   
09 [$250].                                                                                                                 
10    * Sec. 2.  This Act takes effect July 1, 1993.
